Peninsula School of Dance came to us to create a new WordPress website that would be reflective of their friendly and nurturing environment for children learning to dance. Mel is very proud of her studio and runs many varied classes from classical ballet to acrobatic. She wanted the website to be inviting and informative with an approachable easy to use format.
The website we created is heavily based in images that reflect the happy kids and fun to be had in the classes. The bright colours and clean lines make it easily navigated for the School’s clients which was a priority.

In creating Peninsula School of Dance’s website we wanted to create an accessible and straightforward way for her clients to gather information and book into classes with ease. We have used full-width images and sections to seperate the information and reading material into effortless searching from a clients perspective.
The home page highlights the main focus of the school itself and the many types of dance they offer and flows onto three main choices depending on the clients needs. From here they can book in to classes, see timetables and get in contact with the school.
class information
As Mel runs a huge variety of classes across a range of ages it was decided that we would divide these into two groups to keep navigation simple. The two are broken into ages 7 plus and ages 2-6 and scrolling down the home page shows both groups broken up into the different dance classes available. A read more tab allows for further information and links through to enrolment also. Each class description is accompanied by gorgeous bright images of happy children enjoying their classes!

Enrolment pages within Peninsula School of Dance were extremely important from a clients perspective and from an administrative viewpoint within the company. We have been able to cut down admin time for the staff by incorporating enrolment training videos that step a client through the process before they begin making it a seamless practice. We have also effected integration between online enrolments to link to their internal software.
Every section is accompanied by beautiful images of students and classes exhibiting the warm and joyful mood that is so important their clients feel when navigating this site. We have broken the enrolment page up into two sections: one for new applicants and the other for current students which is time saving for those clients already belonging to the school.
student portal
A large amount of information is passed on to students on a regular basis from the school and teachers such as class changes, necessary outfits and timetables. To make this a smooth process with little room for error we created the Student Portal to be accessed by students and parents only. This is a log in section that requires a password which opens up the newsletters, communication and class schedules for each student. A special component in the website that gives responsibility and ownership to the students and their families.
