This Peninsula-based company creates super effective skincare using real and simple ingredients that actually work. It was a pleasure when they approached us to refine their branding, especially given that quite a few of our designers were already using and loving their products!
To ensure the new branding has personality, we have focused on the letter “B” with the leaves coming out of the top to give the feeling of the “B” growing, linking the organic to the structured. Underneath sits BE BETTER BALMS and it is contained within two lines which grounds and balance the icon perfectly.
The end result is a lovely balance between modern and traditional, calling back to the idea that this company uses traditional techniques in a modern way.
Marketing materials are an integral part of Be Better Balms strategy to both inform and inspire potential clients of their many products. This branding design has a stacked composition, balancing a bold serif font with the delicate leaves coming out of the “B” . Walking the delicate line of being simple yet detailed, it is playing with modern and traditional elements which creates a strong, clean feeling. The new branding shines beautifully on their new brochures and flyers.
When creating the labels for the balm tins we used a stacked centred layout to keep the traditional clean feeling. On the tins themselves, the type of balm is the focus with the business name and other details as the secondary focus. The new branding not only provides flexibility to how the brand is applied to future marketing but also ensures that the brand remains consistent throughout the context of the different balm colours.
Be Better Balms use a lot of the local Peninsula markets to gain visibility and get their wonderful products out to the public, this requires clear and easily readable signage for their stalls. Our approach when designing the signage means each balm will be very easy to identify by passers-by and potential clients approaching the stall.
